We are a start-up company established in 2018 in Sykkylven, Norway. The company was established with the aim to supply high technology and know-how of 3D-knitting. 3D-knit products are made by flat knitting-machines provided by Japanese manufacturer named SHIMA SEIKI. The 3D-knitted products are knit in three dimensions without seams, offering benefits never found in any other type of garment. Our company is supported by AMATEC and other shareholder as EKORNES and FLAKK MANAGEMENT. Due to the possibilities for more sustainable production both Innovation Norway and Sparebanken Møre granted support to our start-up company.
We are a national centre for competence, demonstration, and training/support within 3D knitting. Our objective is to inspire innovation and present news, at the same time as we want to make new technology available in such a way that it gives Norwegian companies competitive advantages. With the design system APEX4 and 3D knitting it's possible to increase efficiency and at the same time focus on the environment and sustainability.
We were so blessed when Kiyo and Yukiko in 2021 decided to move from Japan to Norway. With many years of experience from 3D-knitting at SHIMA SEIKI they now share their knowledge to Norwegian companies helping them to design, prototype, program and produce 3D-knitted products. The possibilites are unlimited, from knitted shoes, clothes, furnitures, to interior and a great variations of technical fabrics. Kiyo arrived in Norway during the pandemic in October 2021. When Yukiko and their two children arrived in March 2022 the whole family settled down in Sykkylven in Møre and Romsdal.

We have 3D-knitting machines, design system and peripheral equipment like as set machine. We can create varieties of knitted fabrics from 4 gauge to 15 gauge, natural fibre and synthetic fibre including Norwegian wool. Design system named APEX4 that high-tech system for design, product development and programming for knitting machine. It’s also possible you can see your desired design with simulation made by APEX4 before knitting actual sample. It can show you much more possibility and concrete image.
